Family vacations create childhood memories that last a lifetime. My adult children may not remember the toys they received for Christmas when they were ten years old, but they still remember details from the trips we took that year to the Grand Canyon and Colorado. Those experiences left a lasting impression.
I believe travel is about much more than simply taking a vacation. It’s an opportunity to learn about different cultures, experience new perspectives, and connect with people and places in meaningful ways. Travel is an adventure, a form of self-expression, and a chance to step outside your comfort zone. I always return home feeling inspired, refreshed, and grateful for the experiences I’ve had along the way.

My love of travel began at a young age when my mother took a job with an airline, giving our family the opportunity to travel together. Those experiences sparked a passion that has stayed with me throughout my life. As an adult, travel has become more than a hobby, it’s a passion. I would much rather collect travel memories than material possessions.
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit 48 of the 50 U.S. states, most of the Caribbean islands, Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Morocco, Ireland, Scotland, the United Kingdom, much of Europe, and Canada. As Susan Sontag famously said, “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.”
Traveling with family has always been especially important to me. We’ve taken both of our children (and now our grandchildren) to Walt Disney World, and I’ve also had the opportunity to visit Disneyland and Disneyland Paris. While I enjoy all types of travel, cruising is my favorite way to see the world. I believe it offers a wonderful combination of relaxation, adventure, and the chance to experience multiple destinations in one journey.
